Napoleon Charcoal Professional PRO605 Freestanding Charcoal Grill

The Charcoal Professional gives charcoal cooks what gas-grill owners take for granted: a full stainless cart, a lid that opens without hitting the wall, and real heat control. A crank raises and lowers the charcoal bed, the same way high-end built-in charcoal grills work. Lift the coals right under the grate to sear, or lower them to roast. Sliding air vents fine-tune it, and a front door lets you add charcoal or wood during a long cook.

The standout feature is a rear rotisserie burner fueled by charcoal. You fill a basket at the back with lit coals, and it roasts whatever is on the spit (sold separately) with radiant, smoky heat. A whole chicken or a prime rib done this way tastes far better than one done over a gas rotisserie burner.

The main grate is 33.5" × 18" with Napoleon's WAVE cooking grids, and the total cooking area is 850 sq. in., enough for about 37 burgers. The lid is balanced to lift smoothly without swinging past the back of the grill. The ACCU-PROBE gauge reads 0–700°F, and the ash and drip pan slide out together for cleanup.
