Broil King Regal Charcoal Offset 500 Smoker and Grill

An offset smoker is the classic Texas pit: the fire burns in a small side firebox, and smoke and heat roll through the main barrel and out the chimney, cooking brisket and ribs low and slow. Broil King's Regal 500 is a well-built version of that design. At 239 lbs, it's heavy enough to hold temperatures steadily through a long cook.

It also works as a grill. Both chambers have charcoal trays, so you can build a fire directly under the main grates for steaks and burgers, or use the firebox alone to smoke. There's 955 sq. in. of total space, with 625 sq. in. in the main chamber on heavy cast-iron grids. Cast aluminum Roto-Draft dampers control airflow precisely, stainless ash trays slide out of both chambers through side doors, and the Accu-Temp thermometer tracks temperature in the main chamber. A front shelf with tool hooks, a lower shelf and a bottle opener round it out.
